WE WERE SO YOUNG...We started dating the summer of 1981. After our first date, we were inseparable and spent the entire summer connected. It was magical. Then college started and we shared a ong distance relationship; writing daily, seeing each other on weekends and vacations. After college graduation, we moved to Florida, (John in Orlando and Melodee in Fort Lauderdale). Still keeping the spark alive on weekends and vacations, we didn't know what we had...Then, early spring 1986 John he said good bye and Melode gave up, turned and walked away...
WE MEET AGAIN...Fast forward 25 years, the Summer of 2011. We had not seen each other or talked to each other for 25 years. Melodee noticed that a mutual friend had "friended" John on Facebook. She sent him a personal message and a friend request. We connected instantly...
SECOND CHANCES...We communicated and shared a lot the following year and in September of 2012 John came to New York for a high school multi class reunion. We saw each other and it was like time had not passed....the bond between us was strong and magical...
LEAP OF FAITH...John invited Melodee to share his life. In February 2013 she moved to Florida. After so many years of long distance, we are finally inseparable. John proposed in South Beach Miami on October 14 and know we know what we had and what we lost and what we found again...True love prevails... |
